The Love of Standard Goldendoodles

Standard Goldendoodles are very popular in the USA. They are the larger counterparts of the highly favored Mini Goldendoodle breed. The Full-Size Goldendoodle is a fantastic designer breed created by mating the popular Standard Poodle with America's beloved Golden Retriever. Standard Goldendoodles combine the top attributes of the Standard Poodle and the Golden Retriever, including the Poodle's intelligence and hypoallergenic properties and the Retriever's friendly, fun, and loving temperament. People who participate in strenuous activities like hiking longer trails or playing more roughly might find the larger Standard size to be a better fit. They are generally calmer and less excitable than minis, yet they retain great temperaments and intelligence, making them easy to train.

THE PERFECT PET

Full-size Goldendoodles make great family pets for individuals and families alike and do good in small and large living quarters. Due to their loyalty and fantastic temperaments, they are perfect for families with kids and other pets. Due to their high intelligence and relaxed demeanor, Standard Goldendoodles are superb as both family pets and service dogs. There are various types of Standard Goldendoodles, including F1, F1B, F1BB, F2, F2B, and F2BB. All Standard Goldendoodles are considered to have hypoallergenic properties, yet each dog's particular variation can impact how much it sheds and its level of hypoallergenic.

All Standard Goldendoodles are considered hypoallergenic, but each variation offers different levels of the hypoallergenic trait.

There are many different variations of standard Goldendoodles, which are determined by the parents of the puppy.   The Variations and differences are as follows:

F1 Standard Goldendoodle:   This is a first-generation Goldendoodle, and the cross is between a standard Poodle and a Golden Retriever.  (50% Poodle and 50% Golden Retriever)  They usually don’t have as much curl in their coats and shed mildly.

F1B Standard Goldendoodle:    This next-generation Standard Goldendoodle is achieved by breeding an F1 standard Goldendoodle and a Standard Poodle.   (75% Standard Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever) This variation tends to have curlier low shedding coats than F1’s.

F1BB Standard Goldendoodle: This variation is a combination of an F1B standard Goldendoodle and a standard-sized Poodle ( 88% Standard Poodle, 12% Golden Retriever). It has more of a visual look of a Standard Poodle with curly hair and very low shedding. Because of the majority of genetics, it has a very similar size and personality to a standard Poodle.

F2 Standard Goldendoodle:   This variation is achieved by breeding an F1 Standard Goldendoodle and another F1 Standard Goldendoodle.   (50% Standard Poodle and 50% Goldendoodle)   Even though they are second-generation, they can have straight or curly coats and can vary when it comes to shedding.

F2B Standard Goldendoodles:  This variation is achieved by breeding an F1 standard Goldendoodles and an F1B Standard Goldendoodle.  ( 50 % Standard Poodle and 37.5% Golden Retriever. This variation can vary in weight and size a lot depending on the dominant genetics in both parents.   Their coat and shedding can vary also.

F2BB Standard Goldendoodles:    This variation is a mix between an F2B Standard Goldendoodle and a Standard Poodle  (81.25% Standard Poodle and 18.75% Golden Retriever)   They have more of a Poodle appearance.

When fully grown, most standard Goldendoodles weigh around 50 pounds and stand between 19 and 22 inches tall at the shoulders.

Standard Goldendoodles require moderate exercise daily to stay healthy. Several sessions of playtime each day totaling around an hour should be more than enough. But they are very energetic and love playtime, so the more, the better.

Standard Goldendoodles are very energetic and active bundles of energy. They are perfect for active families that want their dogs to keep up. As long as they get some exercise each day, they can make great companions for less active people.

Standard Goldendoodles are very intelligent and love challenges, a trait they get from their Miniature Poodle parentage. They are eager to please, which makes them easier to train.
